about

DonCat San Francisco, California

As a youth, Duncan 'DonCat' Nielsen's grandma gave him an odd pile of European released Beach Boys tapes, which lead him to the record store searching for other oddities. Coming from a family of music enthusiasts, he was poised for writing melodic music in a nostalgia-brand rock and soul format. He currently lives and makes music in the Corona Heights district of San Francisco, CA.

Track Name: Ride On
Things can fall apart
But from the start you know it's going to be hard
In the middle of a terrible sea
You and me
We got someone to rely on

Caught up in a dream
Feathers softly fall like snowflakes in a field
But what it is is different than what it seems
You and me
We got someone to rely on

And this feeling that I get
Will I know it if it hasn't happened yet
If the the pain becomes and old rocking chair
I won't wile away my time sitting there

You got someone to rely on
Just be sure to leave a light on
In the sunset you must ride on
You got someone to rely on
Track Name: Glass Window
Traffic maps and buried lights behind me
At the house, at the grave you dug for me
Glass window pouring down into a sou
You were there, don't you remember?

I can't keep holding my fate
It's why I'm giving it back to the state
And what was shame made for
It's why you showed me out my own front door

Dirty roads
I owe nothing to ya
Dirty roads are better than this true love
Marry up feel the earth's cold ditches
Lay down feel the earth's cold riches
